COMPATIBILITY

Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat compatibility & anti-cheat notes

Red Dead Redemption 2 has no client-side anti-cheat on Story Mode. Red Dead Online uses Rockstar's shared telemetry system and BattlEye, and enforcement is intermittent - ban waves target repeat offenders rather than one-off users.

After a full session on the latest build, the GAMZY-X RDR2 trainer is tested against v1.0.1491 on my Win 11 24H2 daily driver. Story-mode features (god mode, infinite ammo, money, teleport) are safe; the online options are for offline testing, not for public sessions.

ANTI-CHEAT

RDR2 anti-cheat: Story Mode versus Red Dead Online

Red Dead Redemption 2 has two very different anti-cheat environments. Story Mode (single-player) runs no active client-side anti-cheat, and Rockstar has not been observed scanning single-player RDR2.

Red Dead Online runs a lightweight server-side anti-cheat that watches for money drops, teleport patterns and impossible-velocity movement. Rockstar has never added BattlEye or any kernel-mode driver to RDR2 the way they did to GTA V Online in 2024.

The GAMZY-X RDR2 mod menu is aimed primarily at Story Mode. Every module - god mode, infinite money editor, teleport, weapon spawner, horse spawner, animal ESP - writes to the local game entity list and Rockstar's Story Mode save does not validate offline entity writes. Online support is included but limited: session teleports work, money drops trip the server threshold within a few large deposits, and player-mods stay client-side.

Ban risk in Story Mode is negligible. Ban risk in Online is a session wipe (not a permanent ban) for aggressive use.

TECHNICAL

How the RDR2 mod menu works

The mod menu reads RDR2's native function table - the same C++ native functions Rockstar's own scripting engine calls internally. Every action in the game (spawn horse, give weapon, set health) has a native function; the mod menu invokes those natives with your parameters.

This is the exact same approach every RDR2 mod menu since the game's PC launch has used, and Rockstar has not closed this door because doing so breaks single-player modding.

Horse spawner and weapon unlocker write to the player's local inventory. Animal ESP walks the world's wildlife entity list and shows every animal within render range colour-coded by species and pelt quality - a specific feature for RDR2's hunting economy.

How to download and use the RDR2 mod menu

Everything you need for the Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat sits inside one .img - no external injector, no launcher, no dependency downloads.

1Fetch the .img. Any Download RDR2 Cheat button on this page starts the download.

2Open the disc image. Windows 10 and 11 handle .img natively - a double-click mounts it in seconds and adds a virtual drive to This PC.

3Launch Red Dead Redemption 2. Start the game first, then run «RDR2 Cheat.exe» from the mounted drive as administrator.

4Open the mod menu. Press F5 in-game to bring up the GAMZY-X trainer - navigate with the arrow keys, confirm with Enter.

5Configure your loadout. Enable god mode, infinite ammo and money plus any of the other modules, then head back into the match.

Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat troubleshooting

The seven most common Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat problems, with fixes that actually work.

Weapon spawns disappear from the wheel after fast travel

Fast travel triggers a weapon-wheel reset. Open the trainer's weapon menu once after arriving, hit the Refresh Loadout button (default Numpad 0). Wheel repopulates with your spawned inventory.

Cannot enable God Mode during certain story missions

Some story missions lock trainer features to prevent softlocks. Complete the mission or use the Skip Mission button in the trainer's Mission menu.

Money and gold do not persist between game sessions

By default money is saved to Rockstar Social Club (online), not the local save file. Enable Local Money Only in the trainer so cash sticks to the save file instead.

Horse spawn menu is missing new breeds from the modding tools update

The 2026 modding tools update added four more breeds. The Sep 4 build refreshed the horse spawn list to include them all. Update if you downloaded earlier.

Cheat crashes when I open the Ledger with money modified

Save game write conflict - the trainer's money modifier fights the Ledger's live write. Close the Ledger before spawning money, or use the Ledger's built-in transaction system instead.

Legendary animal spawns disappear after fast travel

Fast travel triggers entity garbage collection. Legendaries spawn with a persistence flag, but fast travel unloads the region and the flag clears. Spawn legendaries AFTER arriving at the destination.

Photo mode disables the trainer overlay

Rockstar's photo mode blocks input hooks to prevent trainer captures. Exit photo mode to reopen the trainer. Cheat state is preserved through photo mode - only the overlay is hidden.
